Once more they have
Ripped you away from me,
Tearing the seams I am
Ever so desperately
Trying to keep together.
You say it is becoming
Too much, but I can't
Lose you yet.
But neither you
Nor I can keep this together,
For I'm already about to break.  
And I know you're
Close to it as well.
I'm holding on as
Tight as I can though-  
For you.
My heart shudders
And shakes
And gasps in sobs,
Unable to bear such witness.
I don't know how to
Fix this or what to do
Or what to think,
The only thing on
My mind is to have you
Back in my arms where
I know you belong.
Back home with me
So I can hug and
Kiss away your past every day.
So I can protect
You from the evil of this
Damned world
Where nothing is
Right.
